Joy | Sorrow Ring

This ring embodies the ancient wisdom that life's fullness emerges from embracing both joy and sorrow in equal measure. Inspired by Taoist and Buddhist philosophy and Roman numerals, the design features a raised X symbolizing joy alongside a stamped X representing sorrow—a tangible reminder that wholeness comes not from avoiding pain, but from sitting with it and savoring the light. Crafted in our South Louisiana studio through a hybrid process combining hand-carved wax with 3D-printed elements, each piece is distinctly individual. More than jewelry, it's a meditation on the human experience: a gentle prompt to feel deeply, accept fully, and recognize that the most profound growth emerges from navigating both the radiance and the weight of being alive.
